MOULSECOMBE COMMUNITY LEISURE CENTRE CHARITY DAY

The Centre organised this day to raise money for The Martlets Hospice and The Moulsecombe Trust. Active LightWorks was given free use of a pleasant, spacious room to give therapeutic treatments and assess the need for a regular clinic.

Although the event was not well attended we were able to give at least 10 treatments to visitors and staff and had time to exchange treatments amongst ourselves. I was particularly pleased to experience with positive results Belinda’s Thai Massage Therapy which I had not had before.

Suggested donations were £5 for 15 minutes but we were happy to give free and complimentary treatments or extend the sessions to 30 minutes. In all we raised £25.

Therapies on offer were: Indian Head Massage, Energy Therapy, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Thai Yoga Massage, Reflexology and Natural Face Lift so thank you Steve, Claire, Nikki and Belinda.

The Centre staff are keen for us to attend a similar event in the future, and I think they would like an opportunity to repeat the event and make it more successful with more publicity and advertising. It was a good venue and the staff were pleasant and helpful and I, for one, would be happy to repeat this event. Special thanks to Duty Managers S. Whiting and K. Cooping.
