Joelle
from the Active Lightworks charity started to volunteer
at St John's in January 07 following two successful
taster days run at the end of the previous year. St.
John's Centre is part of Impact Initiatives, a Sussex
charity based in Brighton that aims to maintain and
increase the physical and psychological well being of
older people by offering social, intellectual and physical
activities and services. |
The treatments to choose from are hand; feet; face;
back, neck and shoulder massage or reflexology.
"St. John's staff are wonderful and caring. They
are kindly letting me use the staff room which I
transform into a welcoming treatment room so the members
can have some privacy."
"The members love it when I burn some lavender
or jasmine oil and play some relaxing music during the
treatments."
"This experience is really rewarding for me as
I can see how happy the members are after each treatment plus
the feed back I receive is great. I couldn't
ask for more, lovely!" |
