MIKE

I am the volunteer Project Manager for the Hospital projects

As such, I am responsible for co-ordinating all the various activities and services we provide. My background is in Management Consultancy specialising in the development and implementation of IT and Telecommunications strategies and laterly in senior management roles both in the public and private sectors.  I retired from my final position as Director, Ericsson Consulting, in 2002.
 
I'm married with two grown up daughters and my wife Margy works for Brighton and Hove Council in the Occupational Therapy group.  She is also a qualified massage therapist and was one of the first to provide massage to patients in the Renal ward at the Royal Sussex back in the mid 90's.  I'm a great believer in the effectiveness of complimentary therapies and over the years I have enjoyed many different forms including Massage, Reflexology, Accupuncture, Homeopathy, Alexander Technique, Transcendental Meditation and more.
 
I believe that Active Lighworks provides a high quality and much needed service to the community and I take my hat off to the many therapists who offer their time (often free of charge) through the charity.  I am sure we will continue to go from strength to strength and I'm just pleased that I have the opportunity to do my bit to help.
