NIKKI
In
Active LightWorks, I am the Communications Consultant
I
have
been a healer with the National Federation of Spiritual
Healers for 12 years: working with adults, children and
animals. Day job is as a writer of medical books, and a
health journalist (former health editor for Good Housekeeping
and Essentials magazines; and’ holistic agony auntie’
for London’s LBC Radio).
I have also worked as an auxiliary nurse at Nottingham General
Hospital..
About
why I am involved –
As
a medical journalist, I have seen in hospitals UK wide (from
University College Hospital in London to the The Christie
in Manchester) how very well complementary therapies can
support medical care - and also the carers themselves. Since
The Royal Sussex’s Alexandra Hospital saves my daughter’s
life two years ago, I have wanted to give something back
to the Trust. It is therefore my pleasure and privilege
to work here as a volunteer energy therapist, offering back
to others some of the support which was given to me and
my family when we needed it most.
