Community Health Partnership Launch

A dream has come true! And you could be part of it!

After many years of improving people’s health and well-being in the community ALW are now very proud to be able to open its doors to its very own treatment room at the Bridge Community and Education Centre.

You and your community group could be the first to receive relaxing and rejuvenating treatments by our highly experienced therapists there!

The permanent treatment room gives us the opportunity to offer a full weekly schedule of complementary therapies and thus even more people can access individual support in managing their health on a regular basis.

to set up a partnership with us now.

What will you get from your partnership with us?

We are offering a full weekly schedule of complementary therapies by highly qualified and experienced therapists at the very low cost of £20 per 1-hour treatment.

You could further reduce this cost to your community members by subsidizing them at your discretion.

Commissioning Partnership

Services we provide:

  • Individual Taster Treatments at your local community event. These allow people to have an initial experience of the various therapies available.
  • Self-help group sessions at your local community event. These are designed to teach people simple methods how to support their own, or someone else’s health at home.
  • Talks at your local community events. These are designed to broaden people’s understanding of complementary therapies and how they can support one’s health.
  • Longer-term projects providing continuous treatments to your community members.
  • Tailor-made projects to suit your community’s particular needs. If there is something that you would like for your group that you don’t see mentioned here, please get in touch. We are always happy to discuss!
  • Pamper days

All treatments are given by highly professional, experienced practitioners holding public liability insurance. Some of them hold current CRB checks and additional CRB checks can be arranged if necessary.

Costs

  • As at present our organization depends entirely on our own fundraising efforts we have a sliding scale of fees for the services we provide. These are based on the time you require our services and on the capacity of your group. Please always approach us with your individual needs.
  • At present our therapists all volunteer their time and receive minimal expenses only.
  • At times we agree to provide our services for free but we will always ask you to at least cover the travel expenses of our therapists. We also ask that under these circumstances you allow ActiveLightworks to put out a donation box.

Funding applications

  • We would like to be a little more generous towards out therapists rewarding them for the valuable work that they do and to make their work more sustainable. Therefore we invite community groups to write joint funding applications with us to include the services we provide.
