‘Brighton & Hove City Council Carers Card’

We now have a new clinic space, based at Palmeira Practice, 62 Palmeira Avenue, Hove. Active LightWorks therapists launched our new clinic with an open evening on Thursday 31st March 2011. Our first clients are Carers who have been issued with a Carer’s Card by Brighton & Hove Council.

Complementary Therapy Treatments for You at the Bridge Community Centre

Active LightWorks is delighted to be part of the wider Health & Wellbeing Project at the Bridge Community Centre and to open a regular weekly schedule of complementary therapies in a dedicated therapy room at the community centre.

The new Complementary Therapy Clinic starts in January 2012 and bookings can be made directly through the Bridge Education & Community Centre, either by phone on 01273 294930 or by dropping in and booking at their reception.

The cost of these treatments are £15 per session. Whilst it is possible to book individual sessions for a limited period Active LightWorks recommends booking a set of 4-6 treatments as the benefits derived from the treatments will be more sustainable and unfold in the rest of your life. If you want to see what previous clients have experienced and gained from the treatments please pay a visit to the cafe at the Bridge Community & Education Centre to read people’s comments. Anyone on MTB is eligible to book these treatments (subject to availability). In order to secure future funding for this project you will be asked to participate in our evaluation process.

Improve your Health at the Whitehawk Inn

The Complementary Therapy Project at WHINN during the autumn term was very successful and will continue in the summer term 2012. Active LightWorks will again be offering a small number of clients a series of 4-6 low cost treatments at the Whitehawk Inn in a chosen complementary therapy.

Treatments will take place on Thursday mornings and the first set of 6 treatments will commence on 26 April 2012. Please see the timetable below for further details.

ActiveLightworks have been very happy to receive funding support from East Brighton Trust for this project and we are therefore able to offer clients on MTB treatments for £48 per 4 treatments, and those on a low income will only need to contribute £64 for 4 treatments. 6 treatments are £72 (MTB) and £96 (low income).

In order to secure future funding support clients will be asked to particpate in our evaluation process.

Hospital projects

For several years now, Active LightWorks therapists have been offering treatments to patients at the Royal Sussex County Hospital and the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital. Our therapists currently providing treatments are:
